Root zone is a 1.5 scale factor of the trunk size but represented in feet. The canopy size is recorded simply as a foot-diameter value, while the root zone is a factor of trunk size (Trunk size is recorded in inches. Unfortunately the root zone and canopy size are completely unrelated. What I'm looking to do is be able to import the points for the trees, auto-assign a symbol based on tree type (typically only deciduous or coniferous), and then auto-scale the canopy and root zone attributes.
